The Eastside Culture Crawl extravaganza is the event of the season and The ARC is one of it’s main attractions! Not least because we are one of only two industrial style live-work studio buildings. That means we all live here and we have power tools, welding equipment, kilns and even motorcycles right there in our bedroom-studio space with us.

Studio 403 (now to be found in unit 205 on the second floor) is excited to welcome you to nosey around our space, together with lots of other artists in the building, making The ARC a major destination (thankfully as yet without the dreaded sardines-in-a-tin experience).

Aidan and I have been away for three years, traveling to Argentina by motorcycle. Since our return in spring, we’ve been very busy, and we have all of this year’s exciting new work on display. (And yes, our traveling steeds are proudly resting in our studio, too.)

Be among the first to discover our latest works during an evening preview: 5-10pm Thursday & Friday.

Or make an art day of it on the weekend: 11am - 6pm Saturday & Sunday. We’re right in the middle of a bunch of exciting studios, so you won’t run out of places to visit.

And if you need to refuel, there’s La Luce Cafe on the ground floor of the ARC.

JJ Bean is a block away, as is the local’s pub and restaurant, The Princeton. For something a little more fancy, there’s Niwa Restaurant and Andrea Gail.

Of course Odd Society Spirits is right next door to the ARC, and Storm Brewing is a hop, skip and a jump up Commercial Drive. Head towards Downtown along Powell Street, and you’ll find Threefold and Powell Street Brewing within a minute. And that’s just the closest. We are in Yeastvan after all, and there’s no shortage of a tipple to be had.
