First Saturday Open Studios at the ARC
Visit our live-work studios at the infamous ARC and discover where the magic happens!
Each first Saturday of the month, lots of artists at the ARC open their studios for you to have a look-see. It’s free, no tickets or registration required.
Collect a stamp in your ARC passport from each studio for discounts and giveaways. And when you’re done, enter the draw to win an artwork (see below)!
Discover where we live and create, and catch a glimpse into the artist’s life. Watch the process unfold and get a sneak preview of the latest projects we are working on.
There is lots of art displayed along our hallways, making the ARC one of Vancouver’s largest art galleries, unofficially that is, and it’s worth going for a stroll through the building, too.
La Luce Cafe on the ground floor will cater to all your caffeination and refreshment needs, so you can bumble from studio to studio slurping a bevvy, and leaving a trail of cookie crumbs, to find your way back out by.
June’s Raffle Prize
This month’s Raffle Prize is by Lukas Mindzak! He’s graduate of Emily Carr University of Art & Design. Working primarily in oil, his practice draws from lived experience - shifting between the intensity of restaurant kitchens and the quiet expanse of British Columbia’s shores.
Grounded in observation yet open to memory and intuition, his work explores how environments shape identity and belonging. Whether an interior or a landscape, each painting holds a sense of pause, capturing not a place but a moment. An invitation to look closely at the spaces that frame our daily lives.
And if you can’t get enough of it, several studios open throughout the area, so you can make it a mini-culture crawl. Or even an art and brewery crawl, since we’re conveniently located in Vancouver’s fun and funky Yeast-Van!
